AAM - you know who you are! Last time we talked, you were off to Asia. This is a hello, hi, how are you doing message. Hope you are fine and your trip was all you expected it to be. I am following through on my threat/promise to write you via my blog!

Ore mi atata, you feel I have become an exhibitionist because I have taken to blogging. I have never looked at it that way o. I just need an outlet for all the thoughts - silly and otherwise - that are in my head, so that my poor hubby does not run away from what would be my incessant chatter! And sometimes, when I blog, I make sense. Other times I bring laughter to someone or help another someone to hope.

So, love to your spouse and don't be a stranger!

My Baby is Eight!!

Today, my baby turns eight. I still have vivid memories of her as a baby. A baby who, even then was very strong willed, who made her displeasure known very loudly. She made me know that babies could get angry. That they too had emotions and mood swings. That babies did not just eat, poop and sleep. From the first moment, the bond between us was profound. Vacation Time: Part I - Flying with children.

It's that time of the year. Vacation time! Yayyy!! Or is it "Oh No!"? Many of us will be boarding flights to some destination, where we hope to get some rest, relaxation and peace. Hope to. For mothers of young children, that may be a vain hope. Especially since many of our daddies seem to have meetings that prevent them from traveling on the same day with us. Or even when they are with us, they are conveniently seated away from the action hub! Convenient, yes? Beginning with the flight from home, we are already frazzled. Excited children, bored children, badly behaved children. Our children belong to one or more of these categories. Travelling with young kids can be trying but the stress can be minimized, believe it or not.  My last post was May 12, 2019. Wow. Wow. And again, Wow. I haven’t written anything in three years. Except you count my WhatsApp responses to other people’s posts I think must be answered - people tend to say the darndest things and expect you to just accept it.  Social media has become a platform for social reform and most often not for the better - fact and fiction, gems and drivel are merged to form a warped “truth” spewed out with conviction and not many bother to check what’s what.
